Human and canine members of the Salida Dog Club.

Salida Dog Club’s mission is to promote safe recreational and educational activities for dogs and their owners within the community and the upper Arkansas Valley. Originally organized to ensure ongoing support in the cause of maintenance for a Dog Park, the club has now quickly evolved to also having member education with guest speakers, fundraisers, dog-related events, and participation in parades and other community events to raise awareness of the Club.

The Salida Dog Club is a non-profit organization based in Salida, but is closedly associated with the Buena Vista Dog Club (Bark Valley Dog Club) which provides similar services. We often refer to ourselves as “sister clubs.” The clubs work closely with and have appreciated support from Ark Valley Humane Society.

The Salida Dog Club meets monthly.

  1. I have been reading about Loyal Duke’s Dog Park and your need for funds to maintain the park. I would like to make a small contribution to the Salida Dog Club, but I do not know the address to which I could send a check for this purpose. Could you please provide me with your mailing address so I can make a contribution? Thank you.
