Judy Lore

After three decades teaching middle school students in PA, Judy Lore was able to retire to Salida. She volunteers at Ark-Valley Humane Society and has taken up photography, but spends much of her day opening and closing doors for Jesse, Dusty, Zoe, and Dylan - the terribly spoiled dogs who allow her to live with them in order to get treats.

  1. Great review! Now I can’t WAIT for my library hold on this book to come up!

  2. This book is now on my rather extensive reading list. A must read thanks to your great book review coupled with my love of dogs. We are neither owners nor guardians. We are parents to two rescued dogs and two rescued cats. As far as the cats are concerned I am their wait-staff. We wouldn’t know what to do without any one of them. As for your question, “Is your dog your best friend, soul mate or family member?” All of the above and then some.
