FIBArk bike race results

chuck-21091For many people in the community Sunday’s bike race was overshadowed by a long weekend of ..well, a long weekend. But, to celebrate the hard work of so many citizen’s efforts as well as the vision of a refreshingly united and progressive city council, the new trails on Tenderfoot Mountain were littered with hundreds of people when Sunday’s inaugural mountain bike race launched upward from F Street.

One vision of Salida Mountain Trails was realized when cyclists flowed into town to compete in the race, spending additional money in the local economy.

As DJ Logic drifted by, taking in the summer scene, Mayor Chuck Rose simply said “I’m in  a lot of pain from crashing, but that was a great race, a really great race!” With the absence of the Banana Belt some people felt as if there was new classic back in the valley.

  3. This is all I could get me hands on unfortunately. Sorry about that! I thought I’d have access to everything after the event, but alas. You might shoot a note to my friend Chris, the editor at The Mountain Mail:

    chris@themountainmail.com

  4. …also, Here are the full results: http://live-timing.com/races.php?m=June&y=09
