Salida, CO — Salida Police Chief Terry Clark is asking Salida citizens for any tidbits of info that may help find the person or persons who broke into and stole cash receipts from Bongo Billy’s Salida Cafe, the Boathouse Cantina and the Windmill restaurant last night.
The Windmill is on the US 50 commercial strip in Salida; Bongo Billys Salida Cafe and the Boathouse Cantina are just several hundred yards away from each other on the riverwalk in downtown Salida. If you saw anyone or any suspicious activity around those restaurants between the hours of 11 p.m. Sunday night and 4 a.m. Monday morning, or if you believe you may have information that may help police solve these crimes, please call the Salida police at 719.539.6880.
According to at least one business owner, receipts from this past weekend – typically among the busiest periods of the year – were stolen. Official police reports of this incident will be available later this week and reported on the Citizen.
