I have to wonder if it is just me that questions the method of redefining the Clerks position? Didn’t we have an election where the question of making that position was to be elected or appointed? Didn’t the ballot count come out deciding it was to remain an elected position?

There seems to be an ethical issue hidden in all the creativity of our council. I don’t know the answer, but if we start having positions created for and by our council done in such a fashion, the public will loose any local involvement in their governmental process. I see a slippery slope in this seemingly creative answer to the dilemma.
