Commissioners examine 2nd round Nestle draft conditions

The Chaffee County Board of County Commissioners will review draft conditions proposed for approval of Nestle Waters North America proposal to harvest 65 million gallons of water from an aquifer at the mouth of Brown’s Canyon, pipe it four miles to Johnson Village for truck transport to Denver where it will be bottled and sold as Arrowhead brand bottled water.

The commissioners meeting will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 19 in the Chaffee County Courthouse in Salida.
