Ward two council position will be contested

According to the City, six candidates will be running for city offices this fall, with Ward Two being the only contested opening. Chuck Rose (Mayor), Jim McCormick (City Council Ward One), Steven Stewart (City Council Ward Two), Carol Ahuna (City Council Ward Two), Jay Moore (City Council Ward Three) and Betty Schwitzer (City Clerk) all filed petitions by the deadline at 5PM today. Stewart and Ahuna will vie for the seat vacated by Hugh Young.

No petition was filed for the City Treasurer position.
