Salida Mayor Chuck Rose spoke with citizens for two hours today at Café Dawn in the first of four consecutive days of public “office hours”. Issues raised in the wide-ranging conversation included downtown parking and parking ordinances, care and maintenance of trees, affordable housing, job creation, alternative energy initiatives, bike-friendliness and transparency in government.
The public conversation is an opportunity for citizens to weigh in on city priorities, Rose said. He will hold office hours at Café Dawn Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week. Tuesday hours will be from 4pm to 5pm while Wednesday and Thursday hours will be 4pm to 6pm.
