Free compassionate listening workshop

Chaffee County Mentors is excited to welcome workshop facilitator, Brian LeSage of Arizona, back to our community for a third time. Brian is a therapist who has helped many people work through trauma and has conducted compassionate listening workshops around the world. This workshop on Monday, Nov. 9 at 9-11:30 a.m. is FREE to the community. It will be held at the Salida Library. Please RSVP to Chaffee County Mentors at 719-539-2630.

Compassionate listening can be one of the most effective tools for creating and sustaining healthy relationships. This training will help you better understand your teenager, mentee, boss, neighbor, or spouse. Don’t miss it!

    Chaffee County’s only roller derby league, The Ark Valley High Rollers, will be hosting their 2nd annual Valentine’s Day fundraiser to support and fund future bouts. It is an open skate and bake sale fundraiser at the Chaffee County Fairgrounds on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012. The fun kicks off at 1:00 PM at The Fairgrounds.
