Sponsored by the DOW and GARNA, Kim Woodruff, District Wildlife Manager and Educator for the Colorado Division of Wildlife’s Salida Office will give an hour long slide show of animal signs and tracks and participants will learn how to identify different common tracks and scat of the Arkansas River Valley. The presentation will be followed by a walk and talk around Frantz Lake and along the Arkansas River where participants will be able to put their learned skills to work. This is a family event and kids are welcome. Please dress warmly and in layers with appropriate footwear for snowy conditions. The presentation will begin on Saturday, January 23 at 10:00 AM at the Salida Community Center, 3rd and F Streets, followed by a walk around Frantz Lake until 1:00 PM. The cost is $3.00 for GARNA members and $5.00 for non-members, kids are free. Pre-registration is required, limit of 25 participants.
