Lovable Dog Seeks Adoptive Home

We will be posting more of these in the future, and will likely build a special place on the site for shelter dogs and cats. Until then, please enjoy meeting Natasha. This is a great dog to kick off an adoption section since this is virtually the same description as one of our shelter dogs, Annabelle, whom many of you know. We have had Annabelle for years now, but when we got her she, like Natasha, had been abused. Annabelle is now a world class dog. SHe can walk down the street with me off collar (not that I ever would Officer), and has biked the Monarch Crest among other things. I have seen Natasha. She’s a sweety, but needs a home. We will be hosting dogs and cats on the site from Gone To The Dogs, as well as the Ark Valley Humane Society. Thanks Laura. -bd

I have been on a long journey and I am now ready to find my forever home.  Life didn’t start out so great for me.  I was born into an abusive home, tied up and ignored.  This made me very afraid and untrusting of humans and scared of the world.  A really nice person rescued me from here when I was about a year old and took me to Ark-Valley Humane Society.  Even though AVHS is a really nice place, it was hard for me to relax and build trusting relationships with Humans.  After I was there for about 6 months, these really nice people came to get me.  They came with their dogs, Geri & Maggie.  I thought they were cool and liked to play with them.  These nice people, Tony & Laura Bussing have been taking care of me at their house for the last month.  I’ve heard them tell other humans that they are rehabilitating me, but I don’t really know what that word means.  All I know is that I’m sooo happy now.  I am not an anxious drama queen anymore and I really like humans now and know how to trust.  I still get scared on occasions by loud noises, but hey! give me a chance, cause I get better everyday.  I’ve decided that Tony and Laura have helped me tremendously (yes, a big word for such a little dog), but that I can’t stay with them forever.  So now, I’m ready to find a pack of humans and other dogs that are just right for me.  Can you help me?  If you don’t have room for me, maybe you can tell all your friends about me!  I’m very lovable and just want to have a safe home!
