More avalanche danger

Four Ark Valley locals were caught out for the night after an avalanche ripped down a bowl where they were skiing. I spoke with Read McCulloch briefly by phone from his hospital bed in Aspen. He is in stable condition. Read runs the Chaffee Housing Trust and has extensive back country experience, with hundreds of nights logged in the back country.

The Aspen Daily News ran this piece about the incident. Aspen News Story.
