Salida, Colorado—Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce that Barbara Petersen has joined the hospital as Laboratory Manager.
Petersen relocated to Salida from Luverne, Minn. She worked there as a regional laboratory manager for Sanford Laboratories, overseeing six laboratories in Minnesota and South Dakota. Petersen has 20 years of experience as a laboratory manager and is certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology.
Originally from South Dakota, Petersen has a son Kyle and a daughter Jackie. She enjoys running and reading, and plans to explore the local hiking trails and learning to ski.
“I am really looking to forward to working with all the wonderful employees at HRRMC and getting familiar with this area,” said Peterson. “The mountains are so beautiful.”
