Mountain Phoenix Coffee now a USDA Organic Certified coffee roaster

As those of you with a taste for good coffee know, we have always used organic beans, but until now have not been able to label our product as “Organic”, as per USDA regulations. Now, with the certifying of our roastery, we can can both label and market ourselves as 100% organic. That’s right, not a single bean leaves Mountain Phoenix that is not organic certified! We even get to use the cool USDA Organic label!

The quest for certification started almost a year ago, as I initially looked into the process to see what it would take for Mountain Phoenix to be approved by the USDA. In early October, along with the merger with Salida Cafe, I felt we were finally ready to move forward on our Organic status. After six months of paperwork, e-mails, and faxes, we were granted our sight inspection for today! As you can tell, things went very well…

Thank you to everyone who loves our coffee and supports us. This would have never happened without you, our amazing customers! Bryan
