Outstanding works of art by juried local and national artists are on display August 14 and 15 during this 2nd annual fine arts festival. Nearly 100 artists in 14 fine art categories such as painting, jewelry, ceramics, sculpture, fibers, photography, mixed media and more will offer their newest works of art and will meet and greet festival attendees. One of the prettiest parks in the Rocky Mountains will shine with a stunning array of white artists tents scattered among the willow trees.
The Riverside Café offers a live music stage, microbrews and fine wines. Cool, shade covered tables on the green grass flats of the park are for enjoying the delicious street vendors culinary delights. Back to back music performances by local and invited musicians invite dancing and general appreciation of the arts. Last year the eclectic lineup included Clyde Tullis, Red Tischer, Brian Rill, Bruce Hayes, Spud Monkeys, John Stone and many more talented music makers.
The Salida Circus will once again have scheduled performances on the Park Ampitheater stage. The Creative Station, located in the Scout Hut on Riverside Park grounds will be open for kids and adults of all ages to create their own artworks.
Thanks to Pinon Real Estate Group, Altamont Landscaping, Salida ArtWorks, Kaleidescope Toys, Salida Town Council, The Parks and Recreation Department and local businesses and merchants for helping this festival be a featured Chaffee County event. Thanks also to the many local residents who support this event by attending and passing the word to….”Mark your calendar and join the fun!”
