The Salida School District’s Board of Education has announced a special meeting for this coming Monday April 12 at 8:30a.m. in the Administration Building, 309 East 9th Street, Salida. The sole topic announced for the meeting is the Superintendent search. The announcement states the board will immediately move into an executive session to discuss the possible hiring of a superintendent. No formal action will take place during the executive session and if any formal actions do take place they will be conducted in an open session.
As has been stated many times, this position is key to the success of our children, our teachers, our school system and our community. After having the opportunity to meet the four candidates at the Meet and Greet on Wednesday and observe the tremendous efforts put forth by the board, school administrators, school staff, and community members participating in this thorough and well managed selection process, I have complete confidence the best candidate for Salida will be selected.
