Tenderfoot Cancer Climb

Use your feet—and your heart.  Join the American Cancer Society’s Tenderfoot Cancer Climb on Saturday, May 1, in Salida.  You can hike or bike along the 3-mile trail, and enjoy good music and food at Riverside Park.

The day’s events begin at 8:30 a.m. To register online or learn more about how you can support the fight against cancer, visit tenderfootcancerclimb.org.

Schedule of Events:

8:30 a.m. Survivor Breakfast at the Scout Hut – Live music by Keeper Koepplinger

8:30 – 9:30 a.m. Registration,

9:30 – 10:00 a.m. Kickoff and survivor ceremony

10:00 a.m. Climb begins: Three-mile hike or mountain bike ride up Tenderfoot Mountain

11:30 a.m. lunch in the park while being entertained by Don Richmond

The course:
From the F st. Bridge travel NE to the Orange trail that heads back west across the face of Tenderfoot. Follow the Orange trail to “The Gate Trailhead”.  From this point follow the green trail “Lil Rattler” around to the point where it meets the road to the top of Tenderfoot. At this point we will follow the road downhill back around the front of Tenderfoot to “The Gate Trailhead” again and return from there back to Riverside Park the way we came.
