“Western Reflections,” an exhibit of photographs by Colorado Springs artist Eric Wulfsberg, is on display at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center through August 31.
Wulfsberg loves photographing architectural landscapes throughout the West, but “with a brother and sister living in Nathrop, I have a special love of the central Colorado area,” he said. Although photography has interested him for 40 years, his interest has grown into a passion with the rise of digital technology. “The ability to bring images into the ‘digital darkroom’ and have control over the image editing and printing process is truly magic,” he said.
Wulfsberg uses heavy archival papers with archival pigment inks to provide texture and life to his images. “I come with no agenda behind my photography,” he explained,” but only to strive to share the beauty I see all around me.” His work can be viewed at ericwulfsbergphotography.com.
HRRMC is hosting three art exhibits this year in the main hallway of the hospital’s first floor, as part of its mission to create a healing environment. The hospital displays the work of artists from around Colorado, with an emphasis on the Arkansas Valley. For more information on exhibiting art at HRRMC, call 719-530-2217.
