Lee, thanks for posting the link to the NYT story. It’s interesting to me to notice that as Richard begins recovery from his second brain surgery (last Friday), what works best for him is less stimulation, not more. I wonder how much our various forms of electronic caffeine are exhausting our brains (and our bodies) without really exercising them–at least not in healthy ways. I bet you’re right that many of us chose to live here precisely because we get the point of disconnecting, and the myriad health benefits of getting outside and playing, working, racing, or just sitting still and being…
