Catalina Briatore named HRRMC TRAC STAR

Lesley Fagerberg (R), HRRMC’s vice president of finance, presents Catalina Briatore with the hospital’s TRAC STAR award

Admissions receptionist Catalina Briatore was honored as Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center’s TRAC STAR of the Third Quarter at a hospital ceremony on October 25. The hospital’s TRAC STAR embodies the core values that guide employee performance: Teamwork, Recognition, Attitude, Customer Service, Safety, Talent, Accountability and Respect.

Briatore was applauded for her ability to motivate her co-workers and for “quickly, efficiently and gladly” registering patients.  One co-worker described her as “the definition of a great attitude.” Another referred to her as “a bright ‘star’ in my work day. She is cheerful and a pleasure to be around. When she sees a problem, instead of expecting someone else to fix it, she makes thoughtful and positive suggestions as to how to improve the situation or streamline a process.”

Lesley Fagerberg, VP Finance, presented Briatore with a $200 gift check, a fleece jacket with the hospital’s TRAC logo, a certificate to be professionally photographed and her own hospital parking space for a month. A plaque with her photo will be displayed in the hospital.

Fagerberg also recognized the two other TRAC STAR finalists: Patient Financial Services Manager Emily James and Pharmacist Samuel Addae.

James was commended for listening to everyone’s concerns and addressing them “in a prompt and satisfying manner.” She was also praised for her ability to get things done, to remove obstacles and to improve things before they become an issue. “In the short time she’s been here, Emily has reduced the amount of paper, digitized orders, and improved our interdepartmental skills,” wrote her nominator.

Addae was praised for his helpful attitude and ability to work well with everyone. “If you ask him a question, he is eager to help and will get the needed information. He is very cheerful and very respectful,” wrote his nominator.
HRRMC staff members can nominate any of their colleagues for the TRAC STAR award. All three finalists are eligible to be named TRAC STAR of the Year.
