Isaac Stakonis Bevington smiles after his second Sophmore win.

Our newest high school sports team, SBV Cycling, a fusion of B.V. High, The Links School and Salida High School charged hard at Devil’s Thumb Ranch, near Frazier on Sunday. The results are now live. As a whole, the team did great, with a  couple standout performances. Sage Kitson won the Frosh/Soph Girls class and Isaac “The Ice Man” winning the competitive Soph boys category.

Fred Maxwell, head coach said of his team’s performance “I’m so proud of everyone! They really gave it their all. It doesn’t matter who wins out here since I know they are all working hard and having fun.”

The next race will be in Lakewood at Bear Creek Lake Park on October 17th, with the final race of the season on Halloween, in Peaceful Valley, north of Colorado Springs. This last race will be the State Championships

For more information on The National Interscholastic Cycling Association, the Colorado High School Cycling League, or our local team, please check out any of the links, or get in touch with Fred Maxwell maxwellf@hotmail.com.
