The Chaffee County Heritage Area Advisory Board extends a cordial invitation to all interested parties who would like to view and comment on a draft Plan for the Development of Wayside Media on the Collegiate Peaks Scenic and Historic Byway.
Public comment is being sought on the Plan, which is intended to identify both rural and urban sites in Chaffee County where information and interpretive signs and road side exhibits might be located. Open house attendees will be able to read the draft plan and view several alternative designs for wayside structures.
Representatives of Exhibit Design Associates (the design/consulting firm developing the plan) and members of the Heritage Area Board will be on hand to answer questions and record comments.
Two open houses will be held. The first is from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 25 at the Salida Café (downstairs community room) and the second from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26 at the Buena Vista Public Library. The draft plan is also available to review at the Salida Regional Library, the Buena Vista Public Library and online at http://www.chaffeecountyheritage.org/current-1.htm.
