I now have a job!
When asked: what I do? I’m proud to be able to say I work for our families through a partnership between Public Health and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chaffee County.
Who knew, and how cool is that?
Some of you may know me, some of you don’t. Usually I prefer to do what I want and to help from the background, yet this is important enough to me that I’m going to be on the front line. The reason I’m doing this is because we can cover our teens and children through free public health insurance with full dental, mental, eyes and body.
A family of four can earn $54,000 a year and be covered. That is 50% of our population folks. I had no idea this was available to cover our kids and families. Now, I need your help and I don’t often need help so, let’s get Chaffee County’s Teens covered. Together we can make a difference. This is a real way to cover a lot of our teens and families.
Look for the umbrella, listen for me on the radio and most importantly please join our first of many teen “jam nights” Wednesday, January 12th, 4pm – 7pm, in the Held Auditorium at the Salida High School.
Teen Jam Night: January 12, 2011 4pm-7pm
Come to hear your friend’s bands play, learn more about free public health insurance, and let your voice be heard by giving us your input on what reaches teens best. Light snacks will be served and best of all this is all FREE!
If you are a local band or musician and would like to be put on our lineup, or if you are a teen or if your family has a teen, call me at: 719-221-6951
