Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center announced that it is in negotiations with St. Vincent Hospital in Leadville to purchase the Buena Vista Medical Building, home of the Buena Vista Family Practice clinic.
The clinic is located at 28374 County Road 317 in Buena Vista and is owned and managed by the St. Vincent General Hospital District.
“We are early in the process and are working on getting an appraisal to determine a value for the clinic,” said Ken Leisher, CEO of Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center. “Expanding our services to the residents of the northern part our hospital district is a strategic priority for HRRMC. We view the purchase of the Buena Vista Medical Building as an exciting opportunity to expand our services.”
Employees at the Buena Vista Family Practice clinic and Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center were informed of the negotiations on Friday. Staffing at the Buena Vista Family Practice clinic is part of the negotiations.
