The Salida School District is facing an 11% decrease in funding from the state for the 2011-2012 school year. Extensive cuts have already been approved in Phase I of the 2011-12 budget. Phase II cuts are the ones that will impact people and jobs. A four-day week would allow the district to minimize the impact. The district is looking for community input on the proposed four-day week. Challenging times need new ideas, creative input and open minds. We look forward to hearing your ideas. Please plan to attend, March 7th from 6-7pm at the High School Cafeteria,
