Patient Care Coordinator Debra Faulconer and Radiology Technologist Chris Swan were named Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center’s co-TRAC STARs of the First Quarter at a hospital ceremony on April 25. The hospital’s TRAC STAR embodies the core values that guide employee performance: Teamwork, Recognition, Attitude, Customer Service, Safety, Talent, Accountability and Respect.
“Debra is the “glue” that holds Patient Financial Services together. Everyone goes to her for help, advice and just her company,” wrote her nominator. “She is attentive to what others have to say (and) uses her two ears more than her mouth.”
Chris Swan’s positive attitude was applauded by his nominator. “Chris always cares about other people: patients, their families and coworkers. He makes them laugh and helps them relax. He is like a Dr. Patch Adams.”
CEO Ken Leisher presented both Faulconer and Swan with a $200 gift check, a fleece jacket with the hospital’s TRAC logo, a certificate to be professionally photographed and their own hospital parking space for a month. A plaque with their photos will be displayed in the hospital.
Leisher also recognized the other TRAC STAR finalist of the First Quarter, Nursing Supervisor Lisa Barr, R.N. “Lisa cheerfully helps with all aspects of patient care: starting IVs, entering physician orders, passing out food trays, answering phones and completing initial interviews on admitted patients,” wrote her nominator. “Lisa has a smile no matter how hectic the day becomes.”
HRRMC employees can nominate any of their colleagues for the TRAC STAR award. All three finalists are eligible to be named TRAC STAR of the Year.
