Christo and the OTR Project Team are sending this update to let you know that, in an April 15th statement, Bureau of Land Management (BLM) District Director Greg Shoop said that the Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for Over The River will be released sometime this spring.
“BLM is committed to the completing the EIS in a timely manner. However, the process is not a simple one, nor should it be,” said Shoop. “The decision will be based on a complex analysis, which will assist the BLM to determine whether, where and under what conditions the BLM would issue a land use permit.” Click here to read Shoop’s full statement.
Shoop said the BLM is currently “hard at work” crafting measures to mitigate impacts. Once the Final EIS is completed, it will be made available to the public for a 30-day period. The BLM will then make its final decision this summer through the Record of Decision. We will continue to keep you updated on the Over The River permitting process.

Thats not fair !!!!
Christo gets an EIS and over here, in the North Fork Valley, we only get an EA for a gas drilling Master Development Plan that will commit our scenic byway to rigs, pads and industrial traffic for 40 years.
What strings did you guys pull?
