INON BARNATAN PLAYS MASTERPIECES OF PIANO AT FINAL SALIDA ASPEN CONCERT
Widely acclaimed pianist Inon Barnatan will perform varied selections of music from the 17th Century to the present in the final concert of the Salida Aspen Concert series at 7:30 p.m., Friday, August 12 in Held Auditorium at 10th and D Streets.
This special concert, underwritten by Collegiate Peaks Bank of Salida, also presents Ars Nova String Quartet.
This is Barnatan’s third consecutive appearance in the Salida Aspen Concert series. He has soloed with the Philadelphia, Cleveland, San Francisco and Houston orchestras. He is a recognized expert in the music of Franz Schubert and will conclude the concert by playing Schubert’s Piano Sonata in C minor, D. 958, written just before the end of the composer’s tragically short life.

Piano Concerto No. 12 in A major by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. (Barnatan with Ars Nova String Quartet).
