The 28
th annual Autumn Color Run will be held on Saturday September 17, 2011. This year’s race will feature some exciting changes! For the first time in Buena Vista there will be a FULL MARATHON. We are very excited about this addition, which is made possible through cooperation with the US Forest Service. Secondly, we updated the 5K course. Runners will now spend more time on smaller roads which will spread out the pack by the time they reach CR 306 making for safer and more enjoyable running. Our third big change this year is the addition of a salad and pasta bar after the race in addition to the amazing array of home baked goodies from the Starpoint families that runners have grown to love. Bruce Hayes will be back again this year to entertain us in McPhelemy Park as the runners cross the finish line. Folks from town are welcome to stop by to cheer on the runners and enjoy music in the park. Runners and walkers can still register online at
www.bvautumncolorrun.net or pick up a registration form at Nature’s Pantry. Races include full marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K, and 1 mile fun run. Check out the website for maps, course descriptions, race day schedule, and packet pick up info. The ACR is a benefit for Starpoint and the Chaffee County Boys & Girls Club.
