Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center will host its third annual Women’s Health Day on Saturday, October 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the SteamPlant Event Center, 220 West Sackett Avenue, in Salida.

LiveWell Chaffee recently received a grant to conduct a Community Food Assessment to understand how we can better support residents to access and consume healthy foods. Please take 5-10 minutes to complete this survey telling us more about how you decide where and what foods to eat, and what changes you would like to see happen in your community to increase access to healthy foods.

Part Time Parks Position(1)

The City of Salida Public Works Department is seeking a Part Time Parks Laborer. Duties will include, but not be limited to assisting the current parks employees and future seasonal employees with maintaining city parks and facilities, and assisting public works personnel by performing manual labor on city projects as needed.

Salida Racing would like to invite everyone from Salida to see the team off as they head Castle Rock for the State Championships! We are leaving from the Boy Scout Hut at 9:30 am Saturday October 29. Come cheer the team on as they leave to battle Boulder and the rest of the state in mountain biking.

LiveWell Chaffee County received a grant in 2011 from the Colorado Health Foundation to conduct a Community Food Assessment to understand how we can better support residents to access and consume healthy foods. If you participate in their online survey you will be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift certificate to a local grocery or natural food store of your choice for completing the survey!
