A benefit for Blake Ogden was held at the Salida Elks Lodge in Salida. Blake is a Salida Middle School student who is to undergo open heart surgery in the near future. A fundraiser was held to help off-set the medical costs the family has and will incur during this difficult time. Once again people in our community stepped up in a huge way and made this benefit a tremendous success.
The Chaffee County Sheriffs Office would like to offer our most sincere appreciation to the following for their generous donations or assistance: Ben Scanga and Scanga Meat Company, Dennis Norman, Salida Grand Rental, Salida High School Cheerleaders, Wal-Mart, Boy Scouts, Salida Elks Lodge, Fred and Debbie Jackson at Salida Medical Supply, Salida McDonalds, Maverick Lane, Cakes by Heidi, KSBV Radio, The Mountain Mail, Three Eagles Communications and Leanne Lucero at Salida Kentucky Fried Chicken/Taco Bell.
Special thanks go out to Leah Cunningham and Nikki Carpenter for their hard work in putting this event together.
The members of the Chaffee County Sheriffs Office are proud to be a part of this event and are most thankful to all who attended or gave support through donations.
Sincerely
John Spezze
