The SteamPlant Theater and Event Center will host the 6th Heart of the Rockies Bridal Show on Sunday, Oct. 30, from 2 to 5 p.m. in picturesque downtown Salida, Colo., just 2 hours west of the Colorado Front Range on Hwy. 285.
Nestled in the heart of the Rocky Mountains alongside the Arkansas River, the SteamPlant event center offers a unique, mellow and intimate setting for brides and grooms to plan and preview every detail of their dream wedding in Chaffee County.
Twenty-five premier venders, venue representatives and entertainers will gather in the historic SteamPlant Ballroom and Paquette Art Gallery to showcase their services and assist with wedding preparations. Attending brides and grooms will receive a FREE Monarch Mountain lift ticket and a complementary day pass to the Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center.
Local caterers will provide hors d’oeuvres and cake tasting. Floral designs, invitations and photography will be displayed, as well as simulated room set-ups and table décor. Reception sites and party rental service representatives will assist brides-to-be with their future wedding plans and answer last-minute questions for those still solidifying decisions. Local musicians and disc jockeys will alternate performances while the Salida Starlettes and Friends model bridal fashion and formalwear. Local beauty salons will style the models. Brides are invited to participate in the balloon drop to receive gift give-aways from select vendors.
Admission is free and open to the public. Vendors will also assist meeting organizers, event planners and others looking to site corporate functions and other celebrations. There is no need for advance registration.
