The 3rd Annual Buena Vista Holiday Artwalk will take place in Beautiful Buena Vista, Colorado on December 16, 17, 18, 2011. Join us in the mountains for a weekend filled with music, poetry, good food, holiday cheer, many talented artists and their very fine work.
Started by a handful of neighbors in Buena Vista’s South Main neighborhood in 2009, the Holiday Artwalk expanded last year to include locations all over town. This year we’ve grown again to include 18 venues and 60+ artists. Walking maps with hours and locations will be available staring on Friday at any of our participating businesses including: Rock Run Gallery, Sundance and Friends, Eddyline Brewpub, Mountain Bohemian, South Main Development, The Clocktower, Mother’s and Daughter’s Bistro, Jailhouse Gallery, BV Roastery, Fannin Art Pottery, Courtyard Gallery. AVAC artists at the Community Center, The Asian Palate, Sonflower Books, Natural Mystic Wellness Center, Serendipity Yarn and Gifts, The Book Nook, and Lee Lester Studio.
Most venues will be open for shopping, dining and art viewing during normal business hours on Sunday and extended hours on Friday and Saturday evenings until 8:30 or later. The main holiday festivities are planned for Saturday starting at 2:00pm.
On Saturday, December 17 venues will open to the public at their regular times. At 2:00, Santa Claus will fly into Buena Vista for a stop at the Community Center Pinion Room to visit with the young and the young at heart from 2:00 – 5:00pm. Carolers are invited to gather at Town Hall at 4:15 for a stroll down main street. All are welcome to stroll and sing. 
The Carolers final destination is the holiday tree at the community center. At 5:00pm we will light the tree and gather close to hear a holiday story. Directly after, all are invited inside the community center to warm up with hot chocolate and holiday favorites performed by Grace Church Bell Choir ’til 6:00. Afterwards, we invite you to find some dinner at a local restaurant and head back to the venues for more art, hor de voures, drinks, music and conversation late into the evening.
