The SteamPlant Event Center is delighted to welcome world renowned artist Harold O’Connor and his son Harri O’Connor to its Diesslin Gallery for a brief exhibition of photographs, Wed. Jan. 11 – Wed., Jan. 18. The exhibition opens with a public art reception on Thurs., Jan. 12 from 5:30 – 7:00 in the SteamPlant’s Riverside Annex. Complementary wine, beer and hors d’oeuvres.
Their photographic series collages rural landscapes with massive European buildings & cityscapes to enhance their most captivating elements. Harold, best known for his jewelry making, has work on permanent display in private and public institutions including the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC & the Renwick Gallery of the Southsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. Harri lives in Helsinki, Finland, where he creates abstract videos and photo collages. He graduated from Univ. of New Mexico with a M.F.A. and attended Salida High School.
