Salida Public Works Department will close G Street from First Street to Sackett Avenue starting Tuesday until further notice. The closure is to change the one-way section of street for two-way traffic. All cars must be removed from the area before May 22 to allow Public Works to make the necessary changes. To clarify, at this point this is a temporary closure to accommodate the Sackett repaving project. Council talked a bit about making that section of G two-way permanently, but no decision has been made on that. Voice your opinions to Council and the Mayor.
