Vote Your Primary Ballot Today

June 26, 2012 — that’s today, folks — is PRIMARY ELECTION DAY. The Primary Election in Chaffee County will be an all MAIL BALLOT election.

All mail ballots must be in the hands of the County Clerk by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day, June 26.  Ballots cast my military and overseas must be sent no later than 7:00 p.m. on Election Day and received by the close of business on the 8th day after the election.

The County Clerk’s office is located in the County Courthouse, 104 Crestone Avenue, in downtown Salida. For more information, call the County Clerk’s office at 719-539-4004.

Other important Election 2012 dates:

Tuesday, October 9, 2012: Last day to register to vote for the General Election

Tuesday, November 6, 2012: GENERAL ELECTION DAY. The General Election will be a Vote Center Election.  Voters on the Permanent Mail-In Ballot list will receive their ballots by mail.  All ballots must be in the hands of the County Clerk by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.
