Sackett Avenue and F Street are open. The 2012 Sackett Street Rehabilitation Project is coming to an end, with only minor maintenance left to be completed.
The project was awarded to Y&K Construction in May 2012. The base bid was $596,913; additional water system improvements cost $113,756 and the addition of crosswalks, curb and gutter cost $37,455. Overall, the total project cost is $634,368, which is $100,000 under the original budget for the project.
The City of Salida thanks citizens for their patience during construction and encourages people to visit businesses and view improvements.
