Wishing Tree to benefit local shelter dogs

A Wishing Tree to benefit shelter dogs is up at Gone to the Dogs, 119 E. First St., Salida. The holiday tree is decorated with photo ornaments of the current resident dogs at Ark Valley Humane Society. Each ornament has a photo of a dog on the front and his or her “wish” on the back.

The wishes include special dietary treats, indestructible chew toys, orthopedic beds and winter coats, just to name a few. Of course, the dogs’ first wish is for a permanent home. The special gifts will add to each dog’s enrichment of life during time at AVHS.

Anyone wanting to grant a wish should come into Gone to the Dogs before December 24. Gone to the Dogs will then deliver the special gifts to AVHS. For more information, call (719)539-1800
