The City of Salida Public Works Department will be accepting Christmas trees beginning Thur., Dec. 27, 2012, until Friday, Jan. 18, 2013. Hours of operation will be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. This service is for Salida residents only and trees should be free of all debris. Trees may be dropped off at the reservoir west of Wal-Mart on the south side of Hwy. 50; signs will be posted at the location. Any questions can be directed to 539-6257.
