The Public Works Department has been experiencing a rise in the number of frozen meters. For your convenience, the department will be available to restore service on frozen meters from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays. On weekends and holidays, the hours will be 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you are going to be away from your home for long periods of time, you can call the Public Works Department at 719-539-6257 to have the water shut off to your residence to help cut down on the risk of having a frozen meter.
