Public works open every day for frozen meters

City of Salida Public Works is announcing the time change for thawing meters.  The new time will be 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., seven days a week.  With the rising number of frozen meters, we are asking residents to please keep their water running a stream the size of a pencil.  If you are going to be away from your home for long periods of time, you can call the Public Works Department at 719-539-6257 to have the water shut off to your residence to help cut down on the risk of having a frozen meter.  Any questions can be directed to the Public Works Department at the above number.
