Sen. Schwartz checks in with constituents

Dear Friends,

While the State Capitol building is alive with the excitement on the new ession, I wanted you to know that my heart is remains with Senate District 5 and the rest of Colorado. I am honored to welcome Eagle and Lake Counties to Senate District 5 along with Pitkin, Gunnison, Chaffee, Delta, and Hinsdale, and am happy to represent the best interests of rural Colorado.

As I listen to the first speeches being given by our leadership and Gov. Hickenlooper, we have taken time to acknowledge the losses experienced by many in the state from fire and tragedy in the past year. As I begin to work with my colleagues to move Colorado forward, I want to let you know that I remember the many conversations we have had throughout the district this summer and fall. I want to continue those discussions as this new session begins.

Please stay in touch. My telephone and e-mail are always open to you, if you have issues you would like addressed or questions that I can help you with, please call me at 303.866.4871 or e-mail me at gail.schwartz.senate@gmail.com. If you plan on coming down to the Capit0l anytime during the State Legislative Session, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I would love you have you stop by my office. Finally, I will be holding regular town hall meetings and participating in as many community events throughout the district on the weekends.

My family and I wish each of you a happy new year as well as blessings in the year to come.  Again, I am looking forward to the 2013 session with eager enthusiasm and to work with my colleagues and you to tackle the important issues important to Coloradans.
