Dog park to benefit entire community(2)
On November 29th the Salida Dog Club will be hosting the Grand Opening of the long awaited dog park which, for historical reasons, has been named Loyal Duke’s Dog Park.
Dog park to be named after local canine(1)
Loyal Duke was a brown water spaniel owned by Charles F. Catlin, who ran the Monte Christo Hotel at the end of F Street. When he died, Calin buried him atop “Little Tenderfoot Hill.”
Do we really need a dog park in Salida?(3)
A dog park would attract visitors, discourage owner negligence which leads to nuisance behaviors, and alleviate some of the issues of unleashed dogs in our other city parks.
