Mayor’s Monthly Article-Water is Precious(0)

From time to time I have tried to focus the City Council’s Salida Comprehensive Plan discussions on the things we absolutely have to guard and enhance to protect Salida’s and Chaffee County’s future. My short list of those essentials are water, quality environment, affordable health care and quality education. My concern is that we continue to see growth as the only way to sustain what we love about our home. Yet, growth alone, without forethought, will erode the very things we love about this place.

Presentation Regarding Salida’s Deer Population(4)

At the next city council meeting, a Department of Wildlife representative will present information about options the City has for dealing with the perceived problem. Join us on August 2nd at 6:30 P.M. in Council Chambers if this topic is of interest to you.

Judge Peter Bogardus resigns(0)

Council will now seek resumes from prospective applicants interested in becoming Salida’s Judge. Being a court of record means that the next judge must be a licensed attorney. Applications will be accepted until August 12th.

If you have a business in Salida registered through the State of Colorado, you should have recently received a letter from the City regarding sales tax.
