Central Colorado Conservancy Field Program June 26
The Central Colorado Conservancy invites you to attend a very special field program south of Leadville
The Central Colorado Conservancy is conducting a field program on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, south of Leadville, CO on our conservation easement with the Colorado Outward Bound School. Join the Conservancy’s naturalist, Sally Waterhouse, as she explains the value of protecting this property. She will also help participants explore the local natural history, including taking stream samples looking at local aquatic invertebrates. Sally has a lifetime of experience as an educator and naturalist. The Conservancy’s Executive Director, Andrew Mackie, calls her, “An enthusiastic, effective and dynamic teacher, fostering connections between people and our natural world”.
The Colorado Outward Bound School property is not open to the general public, this is a special and limited opportunity to visit this unique natural area. This program is restricted to 12 participants, on a first-come basis. Pre-registration is required and specific meeting directions will be given at the time of registration. The program is $5.00 for Central Colorado Conservancy members and $10.00 for non-members. The program is designed for adults and not suitable for children under 15 years of age. To register call the Conservancy at 719-539-7700 or email Julie Richardson, [email protected]
The program begins at 9:30 am and will end by noon. Participants should dress for the weather and wear boots or shoes that can get wet. The Conservancy recommends all participants bring water, hat and sunscreen.
