Ark Valley High Rollers Chili Cook-Off Bout + 6th Annual Chili Cook-Off - Saturday, Sept. 29th

Chili + Roller Derby = Pure Awesome!!!

Begin your evening by filling your bellies on some of the best chili on both sides of the Arkansas River made from our cook-off contestants for $5; includes cornbread, chili tastings and voting eligibility (while chili lasts). Serving starts at 4:30pm and ends at 6:30pm.

Then, make your way trackside to watch the spicy action as skaters battle it out in this HOT mix-up style bout - Jala"PAIN"o Poppers vs. Cornbread Crushers! The first whistle blows at 7pm.

$10 tickets at the door. Free admission for children 10 and under.

Concessions will be on hand with a bake sale and libations for those 21 and older.

Interested in cooking up your own pot and vying for the best chili around? A $20 entry fee will get you entered into the cook-off, a ticket to the bout and a chance to earn amazing prizes! There will be three categories to win from: Red, Green and People's Choice. YUM YUM! Register via the online form at or send us a message and we will help get you registered!

What you provide: $20 registration fee (Paypal payment or checks payable to AVHR) before the start of the event Ready to serve chili for 25 people (extension cords available for crockpots) Decorate your table or advertise your business (optional) Arrive and be set-up at the Chaffee County Fairgrounds by 4pm

AVHR provides cornbread, tasting bowls, spoons, napkins and lots of fun!

Winners for Red, Green, and People’s Choice will be announced at half-time of that evening's bout.
