350 Central Colorado Presents Environmental Program March 5

350 Central Colorado is presenting an environmental program on the impact of climate change on Colorado public lands and natural ecosystems by John Sztukowski, Conservation Director of Wild Connections, Tuesday, March 5 at the First Presbyterian Church, 7 Poncha Blvd., Salida.

Wild Connections is a regional nonprofit organization that works to identify, protect and restore wild lands to ensure the survival. of native species, ecological richness and wildlife corridors in the headwater of the Arkansas and South Platte Rivers in Central and Southern Colorado. It has been engaging with the public and local public land management agencies on issues for 23 years.
  

The program begins at 6 p.m., and will also include a review of the impact of leasing public lands for fracking operations on vital wildlife migration corridors. The program will include a short video and slide presentation as well as a question and answer period.

350 Central Colorado members Kay Parker and Judy Wagner will then lead a presentation and discussion of the Green New Deal legislative proposal being promoted in congress.
