HRRMC sees uptick in COVID-19 cases
SALIDA, Colo. - Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center’s hospital (HRRMC) has seen an uptick in confirmed COVID-19 cases with three new positives. As of October 8, one confirmed case is a patient and two confirmed cases are staff. All the known affected patients and staff have been quarantined and placed on precautions.
HRRMC has moved to a heightened phase of precautionary measures with frequent communications and active investigations. The hospital continues tightly coordinated efforts with state and local health officials, including Chaffee County Public Health (CCPH) and the state epidemiologist.
In response to these fluid developments, certain elective outpatient services have been suspended to urgent and emergent care in areas under investigations until further notice.
HRRMC will continue testing and monitoring per guidelines produced by the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
Further communications will be provided as more information is known.
