The Ark Valley High Rollers (AVHR) are bringing fast-paced flat track roller derby action back to the Chaffee County Fairgrounds when they kick off the 2015 season taking on the Durango Roller Girls (DRG) from Durango!

On Saturday, April 4, AVHR and DRG will go head to head with the first whistle blowing at 7pm. These two teams have a long-time friendly rivalry that will undoubtedly make for a lot of thrills and spills on the track. Pogue Mo' HoneyGuns and ANewOne will make a return to the track and you'll see some action by some of our freshest of skaters, Rockie Revolver and STINGerella. A bake sale for all and libations for those 21 and older will be available.

Pre-sale tickets can be purchased in Salida at Moonlight Pizza and Café Dawn for $10 or $12 at the door. A portion of these proceeds will be donated to Articipate. The mission of Articipate is to foster awareness and teach the importance of the Arts in building communities and improving lives through workshops, performances and educational programs for all ages.

After the conclusion of the roller derby bout, the Ark Valley High Rollers invite fans to join them at Currents in beautiful downtown Salida to meet and mingle and for some dancing and libations.

Come out and support your local roller derby team with action packed entertainment and family fun.
