IMBA Trail Care Crew Visit

A team of IMBA professional trail experts will be in Buena Vista leading a trail work session, meeting with local land mangers, and working with SMT and Ark Valley Velo to improve mountain biking opportunities in Chaffee County. The trail building school will take place on Saturday at the Buena Vista Community Center (Pinon Room - 715 E. Main Street) from 9am till noon and will cover the topics below before heading out on the Midland Trail from 1-5pm to use these newly learned skills. Lunch will be provided.

Class Topics:

Introduction to IMBA, Introduction to the Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew, Trail building theory, Essential elements of sustainable trails, Designing a trail, Constructing the trail, Rerouting and reclaiming trails, & Armoring techniques.

Classroom 9 a.m. - noon @ Buena Vista Community Center - Pinon Room - 715 E. Main Street, Buena Vista, Colorado 81211 Lunch provided Trail work 1 p.m. - 4/5 p.m. @ Midland Trail Must register and attend classroom session prior to trail work.
